"Berdamai dengan Bencana: Pembelajaran Strategi Pengurangan Risiko Bencana di NTB" explores disaster risk reduction strategies implemented in Nusa Tenggara Barat, particularly after the 2018 Lombok earthquake. It provides insights into community resilience, effective collaboration, and innovative disaster management approaches.
Considering this situation, the SIAP SIAGA Program together with the BPBD of NTB Province and the NTB Disaster Risk Reduction Forum, designed a study tool that adapted 3 models at once, referencing indicators of disaster resilient villages (Destana), the resilience of small islands and coastal areas, and sustainable livelihoods. The integration of these 3 models is the first of its kind in Indonesia.
Inclusive disaster management (PB Inklusif) encourages meaningful participation of these groups, ensuring their protection during all phases of disaster response. However, challenges such as stigma and limited data on vulnerable groups remain obstacles.

Discussions regarding gender inequality cannot be separated from the issue of vulnerability. Therefore, encouraging the role of women also means opening up space for other vulnerable groups in disaster management.
Accelerating Destana is an important target in NTB. The first mission of the Governor of NTB, as stated in the 2018-2023 NTB Province Regional Medium Term Development Plan (RPJMD), explicitly states the target of establishing Destana in 434 villages by the end of 2023.
The SIAP SIAGA Program strategically fosters collaboration to develop the same standards and to facilitate joint evaluation and monitoring efforts. While the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) has a guideline on Destana, the operating aspect at the village level presents challenges.
The Mission was held over two days from 31st October to 1st November. Officially opened on the morning of the first day, this event discussed an overview of the program’s work and results in collaboration with a range of stakeholders at the provincial and district levels.
