
This report provides an in-depth review of Community-Based Disaster Risk Management (CBDRM) policies in Indonesia, reflecting on the evolution and impact of CBDRM practices from grassroots initiatives to institutionalised frameworks. The study highlights the integration of CBDRM into village-level planning, emphasising the importance of inclusive, sustainable, and locally adapted disaster risk management strategies. It also examines the roles of various stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, and local communities, in enhancing resilience. Through comprehensive surveys, focus group discussions, and case studies, the report offers actionable recommendations to strengthen policy coherence, improve data accessibility, and foster community empowerment in disaster-prone areas across Indonesia.
