Preparedness and disaster response can reduce disaster risks. Through the SIAP SIAGA Program, Australia supported the 2nd Global Forum for Sustainable Resilience hosted by BNPB in Jakarta. This forum highlighted the local implementation of global commitments such as the Sendai Framework and the Paris Agreement, as well as the integration of local wisdom to enhance the preparedness of at-risk groups. Australia also supported trilateral cooperation with Indonesia and Fiji, and Indonesia’s Sustainable Resilience agenda to protect vulnerable communities.
