Yayasan KOPPESDA Sumba

KOPPESDA, established in 1996, initially supported the development of programs in eight priority areas of the Konsorsium Pengembangan Masyarakat Dataran Nusa Tenggara (KPMDNT). It focused on participatory action research methodologies for conflict management, community-based natural resource management, and data collection. From 1996 to 2000, KOPPESDA facilitated participatory research in five priority areas in Nusa Tenggara. In 2000, it became an independent non-profit organisation. From 2001 to 2010, KOPPESDA expanded its focus, including critical studies in East Nusa Tenggara and West Nusa Tenggara. Since 2013, KOPPESDA has engaged in community empowerment, sustainable natural resource management, climate change adaptation, and livelihood development, emphasising marginalised groups.
