The National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) initiated the documentation of the history of the earthquake and tsunami through the JawaDwipa Expedition with support from SIAP SIAGA. This expedition also documented and assessed the resilience of villages in facing the tsunami disaster which was carried out from June to August 2019.
