KBRN, Mataram: Pemerintah Australia dan Pemerintah Indonesia, khususnya Pemerintah Provinsi (Pemprov) NTB terus menguatkan kerja sama mereka di bidang penanggulangan bencana melalui Program SIAP SIAGA. Program ini bertujuan untuk mendukung Pemerintah Indonesia meningkatkan kapasitasnya dalam mencegah, mempersiapkan diri, menanggapi, dan memulihkan diri dari bencana, sambil meningkatkan kerja sama kemanusiaan di wilayah Indo-Pasifik.
Representatives from the Australian Embassy came together with Indonesian Government partners in West Nusa Tenggara to see the Australia-Indonesia Partnership in Disaster Risk Management (SIAP SIAGA) program in action.
During the visit, the team learned about the remarkable progress in West Nusa Tenggara to better incorporate inclusive disaster risk management into provincial and local planning and budgeting. They also saw firsthand how the program is helping to build community resilience.
A highlight of the visit was a tour of a virgin coconut oil and soap production business established during COVID-19 with the support of SIAP SIAGA to support economic recovery in the community.
The book "Outcome Document of the 2nd Global Forum for Sustainable Resilience 2024," held in Jakarta on September 11-12, 2024, aims to enhance discussions on sustainable resilience in addressing climate change and disaster management.
The "Disaster Risk Assessment for Central Lombok" (2024-2028) delivers an insightful and thorough evaluation of the region's vulnerability to natural disasters. It highlights Central Lombok's exposure to geological and hydrometeorological threats, such as earthquakes, tsunamis, and floods.

Lembaga Generasi Bintang Sejahtera (LGBS) is a key partner of the NTB Provincial Government in their flagship zero waste program. LGBS manages 285 community-based waste banks throughout Nusa Tenggara.
