MPBI

Founded on March 3 2003 (03.03.03), MPBI is a non-profit organisation as a gathering place for individuals, practitioners, scientists and disaster management observers from the government sector, international institutions, national NGOs, academics and others. MPBI is also a means of liaison for and between disaster management (DM) organisations and institutions in Indonesia. As an association of practitioners and a network of DM organisations, MPBI takes part more in the DM concepts, policies, strategies, and capacity development than in the direct implementation of PB activities in the field. MPBI is a member of the Asian Disaster Reduction and Response Network (ADRRN).
