Disaster challenges in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) can occur at any time. The 2018 Lombok-Sumbawa Earthquake taught us an in-depth lesson that preparedness, especially mitigation, can reduce the risk of greater damage. The NTB Provincial Government is taking an active role in this matter as a form of commitment to NTB GEMILANG’s first mission, namely NTB TANGGUH and MANTAP by establishing Governor Regulation Number 84 of 2022 concerning Guidelines for Implementing Disaster Resilient Villages/Subdistricts (DESTANA). As a guide to the implementation of the Regulation of the Head of BNPB, an Implementation Guidelines Book was prepared, which was a collaboration between the regional government and NGOs. This DESTANA Implementation Guidebook will strengthen the anticipatory, responsive and adaptive disaster preparedness culture and institutions to face disasters throughout the region.
