KOPPESDA, established in 1996, initially supported the development of programs in eight priority areas of the Konsorsium Pengembangan Masyarakat Dataran Nusa Tenggara (KPMDNT). It focused on participatory action research methodologies for conflict management, community-based natural resource management, and data collection.
