Kemitraan Australia-Indonesia untuk Manajemen Risiko Bencana (SIAP SIAGA) bersama dengan Pemerintah Provinsi Bali, dan Badan Penanggulangan Bencana Daerah (BPBD) meluncurkan Unit Layanan Disabilitas untuk Penanggulangan Bencana hari ini. Unit Layanan Disabilitas ini dirancang untuk memastikan penanganan bencana melibatkan penyandang disabilitas sebagai mitra penting yang wawasan dan pengalamannya merupakan kunci untuk menciptakan masyarakat yang tangguh.

The evolution of sustainable resilience in Indonesia reflects a paradigm shift from a reactive to a proactive approach in dealing with disasters. The establishment of a more systematic legal and policy framework, through key events and actions such as the passage of the Disaster Management Law in 2007 and the establishment of the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB), marks Indonesia’s commitment to strengthening disaster risk governance.
